Coach Sarah Carrillo is a native New Mexican having gone to Valley High School and it is her 5th season coaching for NM Cactus.  This season she will be the Senior Head Coach of our 14-2 Regional team.  In past seasons she was the assistant coach of the NM Cactus 17 National  Team 16 National Team and head coach of our 12/13s.  She is a former collegiate volleyball player having played for Lamar Community College in southeastern Colorado and also played for NM Cactus for all 4 years of high school.  She is continuing her education at CNM & UNM. She plans to get a master’s degree in human resources.

This is Coach Alyson Murphy's fourth season coaching with NM Cactus and she was the Assistant Coach for our 14-2 Regional Team, 15-2 Regional team and 15 National team in past seasons.   This year she is Assistant Coaching our 15 National-1s team.  She is also currently the Head Varsity Coach at Bosque and is former club volleyball player whom played for NM Blaze.  

Coach Alilee Garcia is a native New Mexican having gone to high school at Albuquerque High and helped her varsity team win 3 District Championships and made it to the State Tournament 3 years.  She was an Outside Hitter who garnered District Awards such as First Team and Second Team and was a team captain.  She played for NM Cactus for 3 years and went on to play College Volleyball at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas. 

This is her 7th season coaching with NM Cactus and we welcome her back.  In previous seasons she coached our 14-1 National team, 15 National, 15/16s for 2 years And last year the 16-1 National Team.  She will continue in her coaching capacity and will be helping with administration as well as helping run our adult tournaments and games.

Coach Shauna is an avid volleyball player, having played at Rio Rancho high school and still plays on a women's team that competes annually at the USA Women's Volleyball Championships and competes in sand volleyball tournaments.  She previously was the Taft Middle School Head Coach where she has led a successful program.  She has coached at NM Cactus for 5 years and has had several Head Coaching and Assistant Coaching position with our 13s, 14-1, 15-1s. and 16-s.  This season she will be returning as the Head Coach of our 16-1 National Team.

Coach Shandiin (Shawn-deen) is excited to be entering her first season with NM Cactus.  She will be the Assistant Coach of our 12-1 and 11/12 Local Teams.  She played all four years at Albuquerque High and in various leagues in college.  She completed a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Michigan and currently plays in a sand volleyball league.

Coach Chloe Clark is in her third season of coaching for NM Cactus, last year she was the Assistant Coach for the 18 NTL team. She just graduated from UNM with a degree in Physical Therapy and finished playing with the UNM Lobo Volleyball program as a Defensive Specialist/Libero where she completed her college career in 3 years.  She has a strong club background as she played for big clubs such as Houston Juniors in the Houston, TX area.  

Chloe will continue Assistant Coaching this year and will be taking on the role as the Recruiting Coordinator to help our athletes with their recruiting packages to play at the next level.

Coach Alix Savilla is in her second season as a coach,  she is a former Cactus player that played club in high school.  She coached for several years with clubs in the Las Cruces, NM area.  She was the Head Coach of our 15-1 Regional Team last year and will be the Head Coach of our 17 National Team this year.

Coach Shannon Abbott is in her second season  with NM Cactus last year she was the Head Coach of our 14-2 Regional Team.  This year she will be the Head Coach of our 15-2 Regional Team,  she  is a former college player and she also played club in high school for ARVC and for NM Blaze.
